GARDEN GROVE, Calif. – CTS Cement Manufacturing Corp., manufacturer of Rapid Set® professional-grade cement products, announces Rapid Set® Asphalt Repair Mix, a cement-based, flexible, low-shrinkage, fast-setting pothole fill and repair material. It greatly extends the life of asphalt because it resists cracking, bonds exceptionally well to existing asphalt, stays intact during service, and prevents washout.

Asphalt pavements can now be repaired quickly and safely with a material that is more durable than traditional asphalt repair materials. Rapid Set® Asphalt Repair Mix is a high-performance, fast-setting, cementitious repair material with a coarse aggregate blend designed for moderate to deep asphalt repairs. It offers superior adhesion and greater durability than conventional cold patch asphalt repair products and is designed to match the dark color of existing asphalt.

Reopen to Traffic in 90 Minutes
Used for driveways, parking lots, roads, and potholes, or any asphalt areas that need repair, Rapid Set® Asphalt Repair Mix tackles repairs that are not possible with standard cold patch materials. Repairs can be completed quickly with fast return to service, opening to traffic in only 90 minutes.
Asphalt Repair Mix can be used for repairs from 2 inches (5 cm) to 24 inches (61 cm). This wide range of thicknesses makes it a versatile, multipurpose asphalt repair material — one product can be used for a variety of defects.
Easy Application for a Debris-Free Surface
Rapid Set® Asphalt Repair Mix is easy to use. Just add water, mix, and place. This flexible cementitious repair material is applied like a standard concrete repair product and eliminates the need for labor-intensive tamping processes required by traditional cold patch-type products.
While cold patches sink downward, Asphalt Repair Mix stays flat, level, and intact, providing drivers with a smoother ride and eliminating concerns related to displaced repair material debris that creates road and trip hazards. The material can be placed and consolidated quickly to allow for maximum finishing time, and can be trowel- or float-finished. To match existing asphalt textures, a loop roller may be used to apply the final finish.
