CTS Cement's Komponent Qualified Contractor Training Program is designed to be convenient for contractors while ensuring Key Personnel, including Project Managers, Site Superintendents, General Foreman, and other Supervisors with on-site field responsibility for project installation have a thorough understanding of Komponent technology and have demonstrated effective installation techniques in a field trial.

In-person or virtual sessions are conducted to review:

  • Komponent Shrinkage-Compensating Concrete Reference Guide
  • Komponent Pre-Construction Planning Checklist
  • Komponent Field Checklist
  • ACI 223 - Guide to Shrinkage-Compensating Concrete
  • ASTM C878 and related field testing techniques
  • Production Methods & Alternatives
  • Equipment Manual, Agreements & General Conditions
  • Construction Detailing
  • Keys to successful placement and finishing

Field training includes:

  • Project Detailing, Installation, Finishing and Curing
  • Trial Pour (demonstrates layout, placing, reinforcing, finishing, curing, best practices and preventative solutions)
  • Quality Control Procedures

A CTS Field Service Representative is available to support projects to help ensure successful installations. Refresher training sessions can be scheduled at any time with a qualified member of the CTS Cement Field Service Team.

Certificates of Completion are issued by the CTS Field Service Trainer upon successful completion of the program. These Certificates can be used as part of a submittal package when required.
