Southwest Region

CTS seeks a seasoned Construction Sales Professional to develop specifications and sell Komponent® Products in the Southwest. Komponent® is a brand of high-performance shrinkage-compensating cement products that are part of our bulk direct sale business. The position is based in southern California.

Responsibilities

  • Sale of Komponent® products.
  • Specification development through engineers, architects, specifiers, consultants, and designers.
  • Corporate Account development with owners, developers, and contractors.
  • Business development with ready mix producers.
  • Business development allied organizations, professionals and industry partners.
  • Prepare and deliver technical presentations, including formal CEU/PDH sessions.
  • Project development and support, including mix design review, cost estimates and other related documentation by reviewing blueprints, plans, specifications, details and other construction documents.
  • Technical writing.
  • Provide technical and field support, including pre-construction participation, on-site project support, troubleshooting.

Qualifications

  • Business or Engineering degree.
  • 7+ years sales experience in cement, concrete, or related field or industry.
  • Technical knowledge of cement and concrete.
  • Construction and concrete experience.
  • Consultative selling and presentation skills.
  • ACI and ASTM committee participation preferred.
  • Established relationships with key regional stakeholders (engineers, architects, specifiers, consultants, owners, developers, contractors, ready mix producers).
  • Travel as required to achieve sales goals (up to 40%).
  • Organized, enthusiastic self-starter committed to teamwork and continuous improvement.
  • Software: Basic use of Microsoft Office products, email, and CRM.
