Nielsen Dillingham was faced with an NFL ultimatum – complete the necessary upgrades to Qualcomm Stadium by the summer of 1997 or lose the 1999 Super Bowl. The types of repairs were slabs, overlays, spall repairs, and precast patchwork. They were able to successfully complete a 20-month construction schedule into eight months, thanks to the three time-saving Rapid Set® products – Concrete Mix, Mortar Mix, and Non-Shrink Grout.

General foreman Greg Turner said, “Rapid Set gave us a cost-effective product that had multiple uses and was thoroughly dependable. The gave us twice the product (of a competitive product that had first been used on the job, then rejected), at one third the price.” In all, Nielsen Dillinghan used 3,700 bags of Concrete Mix, 2,850 bags of Mortar Mix, and 250 bags of Non-Shrink Grout.
