The layout of the University of North Texas (UNT) Health Science Center supports an active, team-based approach. Its 172,922 square feet house laboratories, classrooms, multimedia learning areas, a café, and more.

Circulation spaces such as hallways were specified to have a ½-inch overlay of TRU® PC (for "polished concrete") flooring. Forty-six pallets of materials were supplied by Jon-Don. The self-leveling overlay was mixed with a CS Unitec Hippo mixer, polished with SASE equipment, and treated with Consolideck® LS, a penetrating lithium silicate treatment that helps surfaces resist damage from water and surface abrasion.

The project scope grew to encompass installing a ¾-inch thick TRU® Self-Leveling (Gray) overlay on building staircases. TRU® SL rapidly levels and produces a high-performance architectural topping.
